Hey guys. The last few weeks I highlighted the AMW 2 Bay Engine House and their Boiler House. There are so many pictures that did not make the cut for my feature article this month so I thought I would take you on a tour around the layout, starting with the rest of the engine facilities.
Today I will highlight the 2 bay Engine house by Bridgeboss. Jim made this building as a prototype for me 10 years ago and I featured it on my old layout (Run 255). I was going to retire the building when I built my new layout and use a long out of production limited edition Engine Shop kit I have from Berkshire Valley. Long story short, the BV kit was too long for my space and Jim’s building fits great. So it sees renewed life on the new layout.
BTW, Jim has not offered the kit for quite some time. However, I have noticed in the past few months some ads from Bridgeboss that once again feature the Engine House but in a modular package. So that is good news. I suggest you contact Jim and see what he can do for you if you want one yourself.
