Quite some time ago, I started making some stacked slab marble for some flat cars. I got as far as making the slabs on cribbing. I decided to make some more, and made "metal banding" using black duck tape cut into thin strips. I measured the distance on all four sides of the load, and on a piece of glass, I cut the strips a little longer so there would be some overlap at the bottom. I cut notches in the top and bottom boards for the banding to fit in using a miter saw. The slab material is from commercial rubber stair tread. I saved the cutoff pieces over the past few years, knowing I would find a use at some point.Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 002Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 006Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 007Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 009Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 012Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 014Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 016Slab Marble Load 08 04 2019 017
