Hello Ricky. I used 6mm MDF but 0.25” hard board works too. I am an old draftsman and laid out what I wanted with my CAD program. Then I plotted the file full size and used as a template. A decent compass and some straight edges will work too. I made the outside around 6mm proud of the silo walls.

You can cut with a jig saw or a band saw. Sand smooth. Just take your time and it will come out great. Hope that helps.
