Super Chuffer and Chuff Generator in Lionel TMCC N&W J Class- Update 7/17/2018

I recently acquired one of the older TMCC Lionel N&W J class locomotives (the scale one) and purchased one of Gunrunner John's Super Chuffers and Chuff Generators to install in it to convert it to the proper four chuffs per revolution. Has anybody done this installation on one of these locomotives before? I've seen a post about installing the Chuff Generator in one, but haven't seen anything about using it with the Super Chuffer board as well.

My main thing is seeing how somebody got the boards to fit within the shell. I haven't been inside mine yet, but pictures of other ones show that there's not necessarily a ton of room to work in there with the existing boards.
