Switcher pulling up grade

I have Lionel 6-82166 Southern Switcher LionChief +. It is having some trouble pulling a multicar consist up a grade curve. If I apply pressure with my index finger over the drive wheels it pulls fine. So here is my question: Is there a good way to add weight over the drive wheels so more of the pulling power is applied to the track?

I have other engines pull up the grade fine and I'm not interested in modifying the layout for this switcher. I will have level tracks that it will work just fine.
