Very nice video Arnold!! Fine looking model !!
Yes, the Maryland Midland is a short line basically serving Carroll County, Md. It runs on parts of the former Western Maryland Railway, including a short stint of street running in downtown Westminster. I believe the Maryland Midland came to be in existence around the time of the formation of the Chessie System, which is now CSX. Chessie System was originally comprised of the B&O, C&O, and Western Maryland. On lines which were duplicated, the CSX did away with one of the lines, and sold off trackage to smaller switching roads/ short lines where applicable. This how Maryland Midland came to be ... I think at sometime in the 1970's.
As I model Maryland railroads basically from 1946 - 1960, I don't include the MM, however, their engines and rolling stock are certainly very enticing!!
