My attachment (which took 15-20 minutes, you're right about that!) was basically a blank screen with an arrow in the middle. I couldn't open it, so I assumed no one could and didn't post it.
Hopefully I won't be as frustrated next Sat and I'll try it again. Thanks again!

John- when you upload a video directly in a post, it takes several minutes to fully upload and render into the page. Prior to that, the image you describe is what you see. Try again and give it some time. As long as your file is under 100MB in size, it should work.
I use my smart phone to shoot videos. They are produced in MP4 format. I believe most common formats are supported by the forum.
