I noticed a certain box squirreled away in one of our rooms.  A quick inspection, reboxing, careful placement back, and no one is the wiser, not even Santa. A similar sized box is now wrapped and sitting under our Christmas tree.  As George Costanza once said, “was that wrong”?  LOL!  It’s definitely the start of a wonderful Christmas season -

PS, don’t tell the wife, LOL! By the way Trainworld/MTH did an excellent job with this RS3 switcher.  Now I have a few weeks to plan on how I’m going to remove that 1556 numbering under the cab window and replace it with the Blue Long Island  “M” decal I have from island model works.

Looks nice Strap. Bet you can't wait for Christmas morning now!

I used Island MW decals on my track car. They are nice folks to deal with.

(snif, snif......still no RS-1's.....snif, snif....... )

Since it’s an NYC engine, I run it with cars that operated in the New York area such as by Waldbaums (a supermarket) and Schaefer Brewing (in Brooklyn).

I worked at Pathmak when I was in High School Mel. I have to look for that car. I also have fond memories of taking a field trip to the A&P warehouses in Garden City when I was in elementary school. The LIRR used to deliver goods to them via the Central Extension line off the Hempstead Branch. I seem to recall seeing RS-3's like Strap's as power.
