Yay! The switch for SWSat is the On position!
Last Sunday I got to hang out for a while with MNCW/Tom P. at the Westchester County Toy and Train show. Unfortunately I forgot to document it photographically.
I did not get much a dynamic brake part for a NW2 and a pre 1918 Lionel S2motor somewhere in the 150 series range. I was pretty interested doing a bit of research on it when I got home. It has the Lionel Manufacturing Co plate on the bottom and is mostly complete with only a missing roller on the bottom. So it dates to a pre 1918 company name change. Now this is the oldest pice in my collection by a few years. In a month it will be 100. I got it as a project. Not bad for $20.
Because it had a runny but interesting repaint I thought maybe it would be interesting to you guys. I already put it in the sandbaster for a quick blast. The light fixture is very rusted and I think I will look into replacing it.
The original dark green is still visible on the inside of the shell but I am a bit torn between fully restoring it as original or a new color. The Grey it came out of the blaster is kind of nice or something else new. I am open to suggestions. What do you guys think?
