And regarding the unusual use of that telltale pole, I have no idea what possessed me - I just saw the two separate elements, among lots of unused this-n-that in my miscellany box, and they came together for me in my imagination. Not everybody notices that. Cool guy; cool eye (you) !

And I am so glad to read that you like what you kindly referred to as my "realism." I say that because I let myself get pretty fanciful, at times, so it is good to hear when a fellow hobbyist feels I am still grounded in what, in my mind, at least, is a "realistic" approach to the whole shebang of a model train layout.
