Yay SWSat is rolling out!

@jhz563 I am in the same boat as you. A boatload of bored kids on our 72nd day of being stuck at home in the big city. I brought out my favorite toys from my own childhood that my mom had saved. This is my 1970’s vintage Richard Scarry Puzzletown building set. It was and is my favorite toy. I could play with it for hours building and reconfiguring towns and cities. I used it with my star wars and gijoe figures later. My kids still love it when it comes out.

This week I added a bit of MPC fun. @coach joe sent me a Wabash car which inspired me to add some track to the kids town. I love the short 8” plugdoor boxcars Lionel made for starter sets. My DTI NW2 with added Dynamic Brake blister and tanks is shifting  some cars around. Trying to buildup a Toys R Us block train. Somehow a Lionel Kiddie City hopper made it into the mix From Lionels own short lived big box toy store attempt. Lionel Kiddie city even had a Kangaroo mascot where Toys R Us had Geoffrey the Giraffe. The Kay Bee Toy and Hobby car is somewhere in the mix as well.

I love how brilliant the colors are on all of these toys together.Run the risk of burning out your retinas.79C4EFED-D873-41D2-9D40-8D6C6E4BBC17

There is the Wabash boxcar loaded with South Carolina beach sand.

Here is Sargent Murphy and Lowly Worm getting a bit of railfanning in down at the tracks.
