TALES OF THE DOCKSIDER

B&M GP-7 1555 (Melgar, my PS1 engine, recently converted to PS3) is held in the B&A/NYC yard, waiting for a long B&A freight to clear the main.  NYC shop switcher X-8688 is also being held awaiting clearance to move some engines at the roundhouse.

X-8688’s crew, the lecture from the Yardmaster still fresh in their minds, decided to “extend an olive branch” to 1555’s crew.  They were pleasantly surprised by what great guys foreign railroaders can be!

Joe Safetyvalvoni, X-8688’s engineer, learned 1555’s engineer is also a fisherman!  They exchanged stories about their favorite fishing holes and “the one that got away”.  They even ended up exchanging phone numbers, agreeing to get together for some angling.

Vasik Semaphorowski, X-8688’s fireman, also got along well with 1555’s fireman.  On learning Vasik is single, 1555’s fireman mentioned his sister in law is great looking and available.  Vasik seemed interested, but you know how he feels about women (too much trouble).  Maybe Vasik needs a lecture on more tolerance for women!

Making it a perfect day, X-8688’s brakeman, Mick O’Depot, also got along well with 1555’s brakeman.  1555’s brakeman is also young, single and told Mick about a great new place where there are lots of girls!  It didn’t take long for them to agree to meet there soon.  No word on how Mick plans to explain this to his girlfriends at this time.
