Well hello T.E.T. fans, I am running a little late today its now 4:30 in Texas so its 5:30 on the East Coast and 2:30 on the West so I guess this still can be defined as Tuesday. What I have today is the car everyone wanted in 1950 but Lionel didn't make it!! Much to the disappointment of many of us who had the "Madison" cars then pulled by the re-issued 773 Hudson locomotive (I did I got it for Christmas that year!!) . In case you don't remember, the Madison cars were all Pullmans as defined by Lionel and made between 1946-1950. The cars were: 2625 Irvington , 2627 Madison, 2628 Manhattan. However, there was NO 2626, it was shown in the advance catalog but never made. Until 2008...when what should be produced by Lionel LLC but the missing 2626...The Sager Place observation. It is a perfect match to the 1950 cars and can now take its place in that famous train from the late 40's - 1950. So today, here is the long missing Sager Place observation.
Here is the Tail End Tuesday view, including a "drum head" light but the train never had an official name so no drum.
Here is the rear quarter view showing the observation platform
Here is the full side view, showing the 6 wheel trucks
Well hope you are having a great week. Its been unseasonably warm in central Texas, highs 75-80 degrees, so summer is having a last fling!
Best wishes
Don
