Welcome to bucolic NJ. The are areas like Middletown and Rumson where you could drive through and if you didn't know any better, with all the horse farms and wooded plots of land, you'd think you were in Virginia or some such area.

Perhaps a more telling indication of our fair state is the toll/turnpike situation. You have to pay to leave the Garden State....but it's free to get in!! Hmm, what does that say, I wonder?
