OK; don’t know about “good” but; here is another story anyhow.
About 25 years ago I was traveling with my CSX account manager Jimmy Clark and a couple other Houston area customers - principally to attend a chemical shipper meeting and fishing trip at the CSX lodge near Palatka, FL - south of Jacksonville.
Since we were going to be in the area; Jim had arranged a tour of CSX’s dispatch center in Jacksonville. Now; the actual room in which the dispatchers were located was round and set up in tiers, sort of like a wedding cake. Projected on the outside wall were each of the territories the dispatchers handled with a ground level walkway separating the projection from each dispatcher desk located on the second tier one or two steps up.
As the manager who was conducting the tour was speaking to us; the group was kind of clustered to one side to hear what he was saying while Jim stood to the other side close to the outside wall on which the territory was projected.
While listening to the manager; I glanced behind me and noticed one of the dispatchers stretching his body in order to see the projection of his territory.
Now Jimmy wasn’t a small guy - you might even say he “hadn’t missed many meals”. Anyhow; the dispatcher finally gave up trying to contort his body and said to Jim - “hey fellow; could you move aside please; you’re blocking half the state of Tennessee”.
We all burst out laughing, especially Jim who had a very self deprecating sense of humor.
