Whats the best yet afordable Plywood to use for a base of a layout that will not cost a lot of money?

I'm building a small layout. The layout will be constructed with plywood and wood boards on the sides creating a shallow like box where the layout will be.

*Update: after thinking about it I think I will go with plywood
