Sorry to hear about that, Korber made 3 interlocking towers that I am aware of and I own all three and they went together without a hitch.

The best part is " Made in USA "

Korber models is now under new ownership by a couple in Ohio with plans to continue manufacturing them in the US.

You might want to give them the courtesy of your displeasure with the former manufacturer so they can correct it.
