Lionel released the 2-6-6-2 with Legacy a few years back I think it was 2012. They ended up blowing them out. I bought 2 or 3 right around $700. I do see paying $900 more for a different road number.
I won't dispute the blowout. However, when these locos were first offered back in 2001 MSRP was $1399.95.
17 years later a $200 MSRP increase seems more reasonable than say.. the $400 increase of the K4 in 5 years because of a tender change.
With the past blowout, this one might be betetr to wait and see verus preordering..
Good point, but the 2 6 6 2 wasn’t worth $1,399 then, and it’s not now.
i picked up my NKP TMCC version when they were blown out the first time.
