Reply to "The Evolution of the Plywood Empire Route"

I just did another tweak that adds significantly to switching operation at the West End. The installation of one track switch and a short stub siding with remote uncoupler led to the rearrangement of the Paint Factory elements.

There are now (5) car-spots with separate spots for the Titanium Dioxide silo and the PVA (polyvinyl acetate) tank. The resin tank (the large gray tank) now has it's own siding.

Water base paint is an emulsion of water, acrylic resins, PVA (substituted for some of the resin to cut costs) and pigments. Resin and PVA arrive in tank cars. The main pigment (titanium oxide) arrives in PS2 covered hoppers. Water comes from Oil Creek , which actually is good water these days. Pallets of paint in cans leave as boxcar loads. Some paint leaves via truck.
