OMG! I just bought a Atlas O scale N&W C425. It is the low nose version. I bought it because it was the closest engine I could find to the real N&W 1013, a N&W high hood C425. The 1013 is the first locomotive I ever ran on my own as a young railroader some 40 years ago. It was and still is owned by the New York and Lake Erie. I don't believe it is being used any longer. 

I have been looking for ideas to kitbash an engine. Shells are hard to come by, it seems....

Tom,

N&W did have seven low hood C425's.  These were ordered by Wabash just before the merger, and lacked dynamic brakes. They were numbered 1000-1006.
