Folks,

Responsive design will also work on a desktop/laptop with any browser on any operating system. So if you don't have your window maximized and grab it from the right or left and move it in you will see the responsive design in action. I think the image Rich posted may have been "moved in" to show how the screen layout will change with less horizontal space. Just a guess .....
