- On your computer, open Chrome.

- Turn Send a "Do not track" request with your browsing traffic on
This applies to the Chrome Browser on a computer, however the “Chromebook” is a Google-based tablet. On that device you cannot shut those tracking features off.
Plus, sending a “Do Not Track” request from the browser (any browser) does not guarantee that the receiving site will comply with that request. Given that Chrome is published by Google, I would fully expect that google.com would not comply with that request and track you anyway.
I avoid anything related to Google and Facebook like the plague. I do not allow either domain to set cookies on any of my computers, and I use Duck Duck Go for my search engine when I need it. They do not track your searches. Google does.
