The difference I found between Lowes and Home Depot is free shipping To store.  The competitors do just that with no fine print.  What I've found upon examining my Menards receipts is that they charge $4.75 to get the item ready for you.  This fee was explained to me as whether this is an in-stock item or not they charge you to handle it.  So considering a $19.99 rolling stock that seems unreasonable since the competitors dont do that.

 

Example:  nice flat car $19,99, what a deal yeah!

So this can be considered a 25% handling markup charge.  My orders last time two bigger household materials is still have a flat rate charge $4.75 so not that pp

bad but smaller purchases not worth it.

Just checked the receipt for the Alaskan flatcar, just shows the price of the flatcar plus tax. No handling charge for shipping to the store.
