Dear all, I am considering purchasing a new Lionel sound and sensor boxcars, but I have a few questions.
Concerning the sound car:
1. Can I control it from a cab 1/2? Or is it conventional only? The catalog states that it "operates on any conventional or command control layout," but is it really command controlled?
2. If it is command control, what makes the vision line boxcar any better than the sound boxcar?
Concerning the sensor boxcar:
1. Would I be able to enter data into the boxcar to tell me exactly what engine it is behind? For Example, you hook up the engine to your computer and, using either new software or old software that I don't know about (yet)
you enter the engine name, #, and other info into the boxcar.
2. If the above question's answer is a "no", how would this external sensor boxcar work exactly?
