Reply to "The Night Train"

Way back in the autumn of 1964, I was using an old 35mm camera that wasn't the best, but I happened to be down in the "West Bottoms" industrial district of Kansas City, Mo one bright moonlit night and happened upon a Frisco Baldwin VO1000. It was sitting still, idling, while the night trick crew inside was eating their late supper.

I figured the engine would be still long enough so that I would have time to set up my tripod and do a time exposure. The pic didn't turn out the best... but it's better than nothing. That was so long ago. Wish I would have taken tons of pics back then.

About the pic:

Just a quick slob shot I took with my iPhone in a semi-darkened room. The layout is the current bench work and "PhotoFlats" that exist in this hobby/computer room. I will be repurposing the space this intrusive layout consumes into a downsized L-shaped industrial switching layout set in KC.

I will be calling the new layout the "Riverfront District". Thereon will labor my KC&G switch engines as well as other KC-oriented power.
