Northlandz when I was there 15 years ago was nothing but a bunch of joint compound put on with a pointed trowel to try (Key word try) to simulate mountains. Half of it was not painted / scenic ed and like someone said it was very monotonous with half of it non-operational. It was sad.............
I was to Northlandz around the same time you were. I was impressed with the quantity, not so much with the quality. There was much broken plaster and not many trains running. I remember taking note that not one steam locomotive was running,
