Many a true word.. Tri-Ang went heavily into slot cars in the late 60s and 70s, and fitted the same motors into their OO gauge trains. They were actually very reliable but almost uncontrollably fast..

The Tri-Ang name is gone now, but much of their railway range lives on as Hornby. The slot-car motors are gone, though.
