Is it just the brushes in the motors?...take off the brush end cap and see if the armatures are burnt or the brushes are gone....maybe tear apart an old slot car motor for the brush cap....but it will have to be a cheap one as the better slot car motors have replaceable carbon/copper brushes in them.

How about a brushed model airplane motor?
