Great work; she really looks spiffy! I wouldn't restore: even the repaint has a history, now, but that's just my thoughts. I'd apply the decals and run that old girl as is.

(Purely my own perspective, but that red/gold/black paint scheme reminds my of my favorite Frisco engines.)
