I have the Cab2 with base along with the CAB 1 TMCC base and 2 Cab1 remotes. I have them hooked up like GARY stated bases tied together with the Y cable, and placed my Cab1s around layout to operated any Lionel engine on the track. All you have to remember is the engine number to punch into the remote. Easy peasy and incase of a runaway engine you just grab the nearest remote. Works like a safety switch. Also when friends come over they can enjoy the engines and run them too. Great to get visitors stared in model trains.
