TMCC engines stopping

I just started to have a problem with my TMCC engines. They start up fine, move the speed up runs great, then they will just stop, not shut down. If we turn up the speed it run for maybe 30 feet and stop again. We tried changing batteries in the hand held but they continue run and stop never shutting down. Up to a couple of days ago they ran great. We have about 150 feet of track on this line.

We have legacy with the tmcc .

What could my problem be?
