Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I'll definitely check out the MTH cars. The reason I was running the Mikado is that I was testing to see if it cleared all of the scenic I have along the tracks, so I decided to video this with a bunch of odd cars. I'll have to be more diligent in the future.
Speaking of diligent, don't know if you noticed but in the closing frames I had a near disaster. I was busy with the camera and didn't notice that a group of cars broke loose from the train. The engine and its fleet went on about its business and on return started to push the idle cars. Well I obviously wasn't paying attention, but noticed at the last minute Hey! the engine is pushing those cars. For some reason one of the switches to a side track where one of my generals was sitting clicked open and the pushing engine started to head right for the general, slamming into it. Fortunately I killed all power before too much damage was done. Luckily the camera was facing away so I didn't capture this mess on video.
Working on more structures and senics from the period. Thanks again for the comments. I'll post more down the line.
