Well, the math changed too, but I am sorry.
You couldn't pay me to go back to the pliers that I used to use, and your's are better than mine too, if that's any kind of consultation.
I do stand by the fact I see no reason they shouldn't or couldn't be re-bent.
I have two tubular 0-27 layouts bent down to between 17" & about 21". The curves bent in a homemade bender of wood, washers, screws, and Stanley brackets. They all had to uprighted slightly after bending... the whole length of every rail. Two evenings. One to the bender adjustments, and one to actually bend the others.
Try again. Use them for your expansions.
