The North East Track Cleaning Car works great on my layout, I use Goo Gone on the front pad and leave the rear pad dry. I added some 1 ounce adhesive wheel weights to the top of the pad plates and it adds extra weight to clean better.

Wow. One that is reasonably priced. I may finally buy one.
