I have a mix of GG and Ross on the layout, never had a problem with the GG switches.  (0-42 and100's)  Some locomotives tend to bang through the frogs on the 0-42 GG switches once throwing a locomotive off the table while proceeding straight through, but for the most part I have no complaints.  IMO the Ross switches provide smoother operation and they seem to be indestructible but you do have a choice, they look better and seem to perform better, for that you have to pay.  Worth the cost I think.
