Have long wanted to add Narrow Gauge On30 logging/mining pike to existing O scale 3-rail layout but have no room. Have decided to build completely separate pike, but only available space is a 12-ft long straight stretch against a basement wall. My O scale layout uses modules of 4' by 30" depth at 48" high. Any suggestions on a way to create a loop for continuous run in this space? Using Bachmann Spectrum Shay/Climax at ultra slow speed - ? min. curve 12-18" radius? Could potentially expand depth to 40" & have return loop at rear edge of layout. A siding or two would be nice. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
