I watched the video two days ago. Thank you Brian for reposting it because the link didn't work for me then. I really enjoyed the video and your old layout was very similar to the one I had as a kid. I wish I had the thought to take some 8mm videos of it back then. I believe all I have is one picture which I don't even know where it is. I had the same plasticville structures, postwar Lionel trains, all on a white 4' X 8' board. Your current layout is awesome. Very professional!

Ha, Thanks.  Yeah, remember the old sheets of cotton batting to simulate snow.  As a kid I always got so exited when it was time to put up the layout (4x12).  I had to save up for like 2 years of lawn mower jobs to afford that drawbridge but I thought it was so cool at the time.
