I see 2 problems with this whole issue:
1) in order to reproduce any item, a minimum order is going to be required;
2) it is unlikely there is enough demand out there to generate enough interest to attain a minimum order.

You are probably right about that but it won't hurt to ask. After all, you don't hit the ball unless you swing the bat.
