Two items to add to this discussion: Empire diner in NYC, one of my favorites for aesthetic appeal, and Weber’s Grill in Orillia, Ontario. Weber’s has incorporated many boxcars, a caboose, and passenger cars to outfit the eating experience on Route 11. http://webers.com/#aboutus

A google search provides a healthy sampling of images to satisfy any appetite. I haven’t recently visited, so no personal pictures.
