I hope you get the problem resolved soon.

"Site response time is our top priority, and has been since we did the HO auctions. We implemented a change just two days ago that made page load 30% faster under what was then normal situations.  Last night shortly before the O Modern auction closings, we saw a dramatic load on the database that we are studying right now. It clogged up most visitors' response times for the first half of the auction. Really slow. We have all been on the system live during all the closings we have had and have been monitoring, learning and adjusting things. We thought we had made it OK (certainly not great, but working OK), until we got hammered around 8PM. We will be making improvements this week and will keep you apprised of the changes over the next several days.  We are pretty sure we are fine for the size of auctions over the next few days...

Your comment about the team not getting much rest is accurate and we are 100% committed to improving the overall experience."

I know it has been frustrating for you guys, me too! I believe they will keep adding capacity and horsepower and tweaking the software to get the auctions running respectfully soon. The price of progress ....
