Trying again... on B units

Hi all. I recently purchased the BN F7 AA Legacy set (2033250). Some time ago I tried to post a question about your view of B units, but the thread vanished. The B units for this set are quite expensive and I was hoping to know whether they are worth the expense. I also saw some comments about previous versions of the B units having protruding couplers. Is that still an issue? if anyone has any specific experience with the B units for this latest release it would be great to know their thoughts.

I am also interested in your thoughts on B units in general (i.e. how often do you actually run them).
