Turntables and Access

I may be loose a few screws,but,has anyone ever placed a turntable on their layout that was hinged to allow access?

I am trying to come up with options for a relatively small space. Suggestions would be most appreciated. I think that CSX Al's smallest turntable would fit my space easily and still allow for a modest train barn to be attached. Of course,there would only be room for my smallest PRR steamers and switchers,something that I can live with.

Trains are fun!
