Signal strength low will inhibit adding new locomotives, even though you can run ones already loaded in the remote.  I'd first remove the passenger cars and see if that helps.

FWIW, this is why my LED lighting modules all include a 22uh choke, frequently DC power supplies from track power affect the DCS signals.

I'm going by his other post GRJ. He said he unplugged the TMCC booster and his system worked again.

Sometimes some users only post little bits of info and then don't respond to helpful steps.
