Mitch;

I am not, in general, an enabler, so I know I am going to regret this... I have an old MPC Pennsy EP-5 which has been packed away for at least 20 years, and I have no plans to ever run this engine again. I only run command control these days and I am loathe to unwire things to see if everything is still working (that is the first corollary of Techno-Peasantry, aka if it ain't broke, mess with it not). That being said, you and your menagerie do bring a great deal of pleasure to the community in general (not to mention amusement to this Forum), so I would gladly donate the boarderline boneyard engine to you for a second chance at life. If you are interested, let me know where to send it.

Blessings upon thee!  I shall email your profile email with my address.

I thank you, and Fortescue thanks you!   ^.^

And now, in keeping with my usual attitude this time of year,

Mitch;

As we used to say back in my days of paying disability and death claims, the check is in the mail. Wow... I can still do that with a straight face!!!

Hopefully Norma B. will approve of the new motive power.

An interesting side note... I was thinking about where I purchased the engine. I finally remembered that it came from Madison Hardware back in the 80's. They didn't have the box, just the foam insert, so Lou wrapped it in brown paper (which he did for many purchases). I removed the 30+ year old dusty crumbling paper before I packed it up.

I'll e-mail you the tracking number.
