I had previously heard that the 844, with its auxiliary water tenders, was too heavy all together for that bridge. Thus, that diesel may actually be just moving the water tenders across the bridge. Either that, or the diesel was in the process of taking the engine to a wye. Either way, dynamic brake was not involved.
