Down in Utica, NY we have a Union station and back in the day it was a huge rail yard not much left, they filled in the turntable that was a shame, The round house is still in use but as another owner non rail, Changes and history gone. nice post

Mark I was only around 3 years old when they retired I never got to go in the plant. Anyway back then Kids never could do something like that too much liability.  I had several friends that used to work there I should have took advantage of them working there and toured the plant. One of them just retired there he worked on the Thermoking Reefers the stories he would tell about working on the Army Reefers were very interesting how they dismount and mount them.
