I had always assumed that 4014 was intended on being in steam for the 150th anniversary of Promontory.

I'm sure 4014 will be steamed up for the event. As I suspected it won't be at the Golden Spike National Historic Site - Promontory, Utah unless UP repurchases some right of way and reinstalls some track. Not likely. Ed did say that they were working OT whenever they found themselves behind schedule so they appear to be serious about meeting the 2019 date. The official date is unspecified at this time.
