By disassembling it and and loading on to heavy-haul trucks, you only have to pay for the cranes twice, one to load, once to unload.  Then there's all the labor involved.  As the 643 is land locked (and apparently too heavy for the Ohio Central,)  to do the same by railroad require two more uses of the cranes to unload from the trucks to a flat car and vice versa.

As to the Large Lad, it has a shorter rigid wheelbase and more wheels to distribute the weight than the 643...
