The "classic" conversion would be the ERR Cruise Commander and one of the RailSounds Commander models. You can go to www.electricrr.com and click on the Purchase link. There you can click on sound samples for each of the available steam locomotives and select the sounds you like.

I've done lots of ERR upgrades, if you're interested you can shoot me an email to my profile address.

Naturally, for superior smoke performance, I'd recommend the Super-Chuffer as well, but maybe I'm biased.
