Thanks George for responding and thank you Kirk for supporting the standard gauge fellowship. I am fully aware that this is a passion and not a profitable venture. Without people like you and the great folks on the OGR forum I feel that standard gauge would slowly fade into oblivion.
A friend has been setting up a Holiday standard gauge layout at several local venues including bank lobbies and local train shows. He has been using 4 banquet tables and assembling the track at each location, which appears to be very time consuming. Being a cabinet maker and having access to a fully equipped shop I have been considering building a small modular layout that I could set up a few times each holiday season with my friend.
My wife has placed a track order as a Christmas present, which I plan on using to get started. There will be more orders forthcoming, but this will get the ball rolling.
Thanks Kirk, and Merry Christmas
